Krewe of BOO!'s Axeman's Ball
The New Orleans Krewe of BOO! announced the return of its Axeman's Ball, scheduled Friday, March 20, at the Toulouse Theatre, which will host the event for the first time.
Event Details
The ball is inspired by the 1919 serial killer the Axeman of New Orleans, who once claimed that he would spare any residence that was playing jazz. Guests to the ball are encouraged to "jazz it out or get the axe," leaning into the spirit of the Jazz Age. This year's event will feature live music from Naughty Professor, a band that blends funk, jazz, and brass music styles.
The event will allow entry at 7:30 p.m. and will continue until 11 p.m. Guests are also encouraged to dress in Jazz Age-inspired attire, such as fringe, feathers, fedoras, flapper dresses, sharp suits and masks, making costumes a part of the immersive experience. The ball is designed as a ceremonial celebration of New Orleans' unique history and culture.

Tickets & Pricing
Tickets are available on the event's website, and purchasing early is strongly suggested. General admission is priced at $30.18 with VIP tickets costing $108.66. Krewe of BOO! also offers membership that includes complimentary admission to the Axeman's Ball with access to other events throughout the year.
