Third time's the charm! After being postponed, retooled, and ultimately canceled in both 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will, hopefully finally, be coming back to The Big Easy this year from April 29 to May 8.
To stoke up the excitement for the fest's return, Jazz Fest officials have just announced the 2022 Music Lineup, which is full of internationally renowned musicians, as well as plenty of local talent.
Some of the notable acts from the released lineup are as follows:
The Who, Stevie Nicks, Foo Fighters,
Erykah Badu, Jimmy Buffett, Luke Combs, Lionel Richie, The Black Crowes, Willie
Nelson, The Avett Brothers, Norah Jones, Lauren Daigle, Ludacris, Elvis
Costello & The Imposters, Randy Newman, Melissa Etheridge, Trombone Shorty
& Orleans Avenue, The Revivalists, Irma Thomas, Big Freedia, Preservation
Hall Jazz Band, Tank and The Bangas, PJ Morton, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, The
Radiators, Galactic featuring Anjelika 'Jelly' Joseph, and Kermit Ruffins and
The BBQ Swingers.
