NOLA's Jazz & Heritage Center to Hold an Immersive African Drum And Dance Class

Experience West African Culture At The Jazz & Heritage Center

On June 26, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation will hold a free community-wide African drum and dance class at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center.

Led by Myienie Caesar, an award-winning Executive Director of N'Fugola Sibo African Dance and Drum Company Inc., participants are introduced to West Africa's energy, movement, rhythm, and cultural traditions of dance and drumming. N'Fungola Sibo will share an experience that is rooted in cultural education, positive energy, community, and connection through African song, instruments, dance, and folklore.

N'Fungola Sibo, a non-profit organization, aims to educate people on authentic African culture through West African dance. Event Details

Hosted by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, the African drum and dance class, led by Myienie Caesar, will take place on Friday, June 26 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center on 1225 N.
