The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center and the National WWII Museum invite guests to celebrate Victory Gardens at Garden to Glass: Magic on the Rocks Happy Hour. The Garden to Glass event hosts bartenders, distilleries, and restaurateurs for a special cocktail challenge: craft a unique cocktail using only the ingredients that would be available in WWII-era Victory Gardens.
Higgins Hotel's Rosie's on the Roof and Kilroy's will be serving these garden-fresh cocktails that fit this year's theme "Magic on the Rocks" throughout the month of September, but drinks will be $10 on September 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. The theme is related to the Musuem's special exhibit The Walt Disney Studios and World War II which will be open in the Senator John Alario, Jr. Special Exhibition Hall during the cocktail event.
The Garden to Glass menu will feature past competition winners and this year's competing distilleries including Seven Three Distilling, Roulaison, Happy Raptor, Porch Jam, Borasso Spirits, and more. The American Sector Restaurant & Bar will serve hors d'oeuvres made with local ingredients and Museum educators will be present to speak on the WWII Victory Gardens.
