Scholarship for High School Senior-Athletes
Chevron and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation have relaunched the Chevron Scholar Athlete of the Week program, offering $2,000 scholarships and public recognition to outstanding high school seniors in the Greater New Orleans area.
Now in its ninth year, the initiative recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. Each week, one recipient will be honored, and representatives from Chevron and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation will present an award and a scholarship check. At the end of the semester, winners will also be recognized during the New Orleans Bowl.

Requirements
To qualify, applicants must be high school seniors graduating in May 2026 and residents of the 10-parish Greater New Orleans region: Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Washington, Tangipahoa, St. Charles, St. James, and St. John the Baptist. Students must have participated in high school sports for at least three years, hold a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and cannot be attending college on a full athletic scholarship.
Applications for the 2025-26 Chevron Scholar Athlete of the Week program opened August 18 and will close on September 19. Winners will be chosen on a rolling basis throughout the fall semester. Students can apply directly through the program's application form here.
