Ghalia Volt is hosting an album release party for Shout Sister Shout! At Chickie Wah Wah on November 11. Volt is a Belgian blues-rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer. She has released five albums since 2016 after relocating from Belgium to New Orleans, with "Mississippi Blend" peaking at number three on the Billboard Top Blues Album Chart. Volt has collaborated with Cody Dickinson, Boo Mitchell, Cedric Burnside, and Dragon Smoke.
She drove deep into the desert while staying in Joshua Tree, California and recording Shout Sister Shout! With Ruf Records, and channeled the energy of the rock n' roll legends that have arisen from the location.

Her musical influences for the new album range from alt-gospel to psychedelia and incorporates groove, backbeat, and progressive rock. The song list kicks off with a track that is nostalgic of a movie introduction titled, "Every Cloud." Volt continues with "Can't Afford to Die," a track about the modern cost-of-living, then demands to be heard in the centerpiece and album's namesake, "Shout Sister Shout." Other tracks include, "Insomnia,"
