Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience

First up, celebrate the grand opening of the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience in the heart of the Warehouse District! Although the museum opened a year ago, it finally will have the grand opening we've always dreamed of on June 11 and 12. The weekend is jampacked with fun events for the whole family in support of the southern Jewish experience and all are invited and welcome to join. Mazel tov! 818 Howard Ave., https://msje.org/

Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival

Next on your list, jam out to some live Cajun and Creole music at the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival in New Orleans' Louis Armstrong Park on June 11 and 12. The festival will celebrate the rich culture of Southwest Louisiana with a special emphasis on distinct two-step beats and, of course, classic seafood that's spiced to the max. Admission to the event is free and all are invited to "pass a good time" with Cajun and Creole performers. 701 N. Rampart St., https://www.jazzandheritage.org/events/louisiana-cajun-zydeco-festival/

French Market District's 36th Annual Creole Tomato Festival

If you're more interested in eating your way through New Orleans' Creole cuisine with less emphasis on the musical accompaniment, you might have to check out the French Market District's 36th Annual Creole Tomato Festival! Get a taste of the local harvest of the festival's namesake or try some signature Creole tomato-based dishes with a bloody Mary on the side. The festival will have a range of food vendors and some live music, making this two-day event a New Orleans must. 1008 N. New Orleans Wine & Food Experience (NOWFE)

Last up, kick back and relax with the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience (NOWFE). From June 7 until June 12, this almost weeklong experience showcases some of the best eating and drinking the Crescent City has to offer. Purchase your tickets for the 30th anniversary of NOWFE and get a premium taste of culinary masterpieces paired with wines from around the world. 900 Camp St., https://www.nowfe.com/
