A Celebration of Latin America
Get ready for some fiesta, fun, and food on September 16 at Felipe's Mexican Taqueria in New Orleans.
Felipe's, which has locations in Mid-City, the French Quarter, and Uptown, will be hosting its annual Fiesta Fest at all three of its NOLA locations from 5 to 8 p.m. The fest, which is held on Mexico's Independence Day, celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month, honors Latin American culture in New Orleans, and commemorates the independence of Mexico and other Central American countries from Spain in the 1800s. Fiesta Fest will also take place at Felipe's different locations in both Florida and Maryland.
"New Orleans has a long history of influence and exchange with Latin American culture, which is why the Felipe's Team continues to honor that relationship with our authentic cuisine and recipes, influenced by several regions of Mexico and Central America," Culinary Manager for Felipe's New Orleans locations Milton Orellana said in a press release. "Many of our team members are from this region and Fiesta Fest is an event that we put on with pride to celebrate the new generations of Latinos who call New Orleans home."
The event is free to attend and will feature authentic Mexican cuisine, as well as hand-made frozen and on-the-rocks margaritas. In addition, guests can enjoy live Latin music at each of Felipe's different locations.
