Father's Day, taking place on June 15, is the day to celebrate and honor our dads, as well as the father-figures in our lives. Whether it be a personal gift or just spending time with them, picking out the perfect way to say "thank you" to you dad is no small feat.

Luckily for New Orleanians and visitors to the Big Easy, NOLA has a wide array of events going on during Father's Day weekend that are great picks to bring dad to in order to celebrate his day. So treat your dad to a special day at one of these 10 local events.

1. DAD ROCK: Father's Day Cookoff

Celebrate Father's Day cook-off style at Republic NOLA's father-son/father-daughter lookalike night on Saturday, June 14. Dress up alongside your dad in your best cook-off attire. Not sure what that means? Think of denim vests, cutoff shorts, and white sneakers muddied from the backyard. There will be a costume contest for the best matching duo!

Republic will be blasting all the best "dad rock" tunes such as Creed, Led Zeppelin, Korn, Metallica, and more. Tickets are $15.03 per person, and the event will start at 10 p.m.

2. Father's Day Cars and Chill

Is your dad a car enthusiast? The Fly's "Cars and Chill" event in Audubon Park is the perfect way to celebrate Father's Day. With the smell of gasoline, the sleek exterior of beloved classic rides, the delicious taste of food truck bites, Cars and Chill has all the ingredients for a perfect day for dad. And the best part? It's free!

The exhibition will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 16.

3. Father's Day Sip & Paint Party

Whether your dad is an expert artist or a finger painter, he's sure to get a kick out of Power Poe Studio's Father's Day Sip & Paint Party. This celebration is the perfect low-key setting to have a laugh and create some art that you can cherish forever.

Drinks and snacks will be available for $2, but the venue has a bring-your-own-bottle policy pertaining to alcohol. The event will be taking place on Saturday, June 28 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $44.52 per person.

4. Burlesque Italiano - Father's Day

You don't have to be Italian to bring your father to this unique Father's Day celebration. The Original Nite Cap is hosting a Burlesque Italiano for all the padres out there who enjoy a little risqué performance.

Grab your tickets and your cannolis! The show is Sunday, June 15 from 7 to 11 p.m. General admission is $19.64 per person, and reserved seating is $37.24 per person.

5. Wardkulture Father's Day Brunch

Dress your best at Wardkulture's Sunday brunch and enjoy a brunch buffet with dad. Groove to the music, eat delicious food, and sip on a drink from the bar for a tasteful and lively day out celebrating Father's Day.

Tickets are $53.07, and the brunch will take place on Sunday, June 15 at the Redlight District.

6. Richard Newcomb Memorial Father's Day Run & Walk

Sign up with dad to take part in the Richard Newcomb Memorial Father's Day Run & Walk on Sunday, June 15 to spend quality time together while supporting local charities such as the Special Olympics Louisiana, the NOTC Scholarship Fund, and Heart n Hands.

There will be a half-mile and a two mile race with music, food, and refreshments to follow. The half mile kid's race costs $25 per person, and the two mile race costs $45 per person. Race day registration may be available but is not guaranteed.

7. Jada Kiss Live at Culture Park NOLA: Father's Day in the Park

Soak up some sun and jam out to live music with your dad this Father's Day. Jada Kiss and Esho Diva will be performing at Culture Park on Sunday, June 15 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Keith Caroll and 9thward Jug will be hosting the event. Tickets start at $65.87.

8. Father's Day Celebration Booze Cruise

Set sail on the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen this Father's Day and enjoy a night of good food, a live DJ, and booze! Watch the sunset along the river and spend quality time with dad.

Food will be for sale at $20 per plate, and drinks will be $10 and up. Tickets start at $55.20. Boarding will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, and sailing will be from 7 to 9 p.m.

9. Father's Fest

Presented by Headquarters Community Outreach and Shaddy Feel Good, Father's Fest has everything you need for a memorable Father's Day: live music from DJ Gator and members of the Brass a Holics and free food and drinks.

The festival will take place on Sunday, June 15 from 2 to 8 p.m. Tickets are free!

10. Ralph's on the Park: Father's Day 3 Course Brunch
