Eye Wares, a trendy optical boutique offering full-service eye care at 6001 Magazine Street, Suite C, recently celebrated their 1-year anniversary with a lavish Great Gatsby themed party.
The party was decked out with black, gold, and green balloons, peacock feathers, and sequins--matching Eye Wares' peacock palette perfectly with the standard black, gold, and metallic Roaring 20s theme we've all grown accustomed to.
The event was planned by Mateo & Co, and notable guests included Reagan Charleston (who also had her jewelry on display), Tamica Lee, and Ingrid Rinck, among many others, as the crowd spilled out onto the sidewalk and into the street. Owner Dr. Lauren Agnew spoke and thanked everyone for coming, and was congratulated on a year of success by all. Her locally-owned business has grown to three locations, Magazine Street, 800 Metairie Road, and 3601 US Hwy. 190 B in Mandeville. Prizes included Dita sunglasses, Maui Jim sunglasses, a scarf from Cartier, free lens packages, and dry eye products.
As guests sipped champagne and themed cocktails,, they were entertained by a lively playlist of hit modern tunes (think Lizzo and Beyoncé), joined by a live saxophonist. Lovely h'or d'oeuvres and cheese trays rounded out the amazing and fun evening as guests tried on gorgeous eyewear, promoting Eye Wares' motto: " see. be seen."
