Founded by the Bloody Mary Liberation Party, Bloody Mary Festival may sound like a monolith, but quite to the contrary it features a wealth of activity and entertainment. The festival celebrates the iconic drink and the iconic finishing touch: a dash of vodka. The festival will offer activities and food from vendors such as: the iconic New Orleans' Ruby Slipper, Redfish Grill, and The Bloody Buddy: Bloody Mary with Vodka.
The event will take place at the Howlin Wolf November 2 & 3 of this year and will also host greasy spoon joint Wakin Bakin, Ole Saint, Slap Ya Mama, Cajun legacy, The Maison and many others. The partner hotel for the event will be the Blake Hotel New Orleans. In addition the festival will be home to two sessions of performances from 12-2 and 2-4:30 on both days. The festival states, "From Uptown to the French Quarter we've scoured the big easy for the craftiest and most delicious Bloody Marys." The festival also offers temp tattoos and multiple photo opportunities.
The fest will be hosted at the Howlin Wolf's 907 South Peters Street location. Street parking will be available as needed. It has a panel of expert judges to award the best bloody of the Big Easy. The festival also comes to Austin later on in November. So if you miss it, sad though that may be, you could always check it out there. The Bloody Marys are waiting for you! Buy your tickets here.
