It's Pride Month and many people and venues in New Orleans are crafting new and exciting ways to celebrate. One such venue is Bar Marilou, located at 544 Carondelet St., which will be hosting a pride tea party filled with fabulous bites, drinks, and entertainment on Sunday, June 13, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The tea party, "you TEA, we DANCE," will offer event goers a Sunday tea dance, "an almost-lost tradition LGBTQIA+ people adapted as a time to enjoy each other's company before going back to work on Monday," according to Bar Marilou's website.

This Sunday Tea Dance will feature both drag and burlesque performances while you munch on various hors d'oeuvres and sip on one of the evening's signature cocktails. Don't think one cocktail and a small bite will fill you up all night? Don't worry! There will be other cocktails and amuse-bouches available to keep you satisfied all evening long.

While you dine, you'll enjoy "opulent fun with otherworldly performers" like drag king and queen Kitten & Lou, drag queen Franky Canga, and burlesque performers Phathoms Deep and Elle Dorado. Not only will Elle Dorado be performing, she'll also be hosting the event!

Tickets can be purchased individually or in packages ranging from a table for two to eight. Tickets are $55 per person and space is limited, so be sure to get your tickets early!
