June 8th, 2019 is going to be lit and here's why. Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals will be in the Big Easy bringing their funky energetic-soulful sound to Champion Square. Led by Anderson .Paak, he announced the 2019 tour "Best Teef in the Game Tour," on his social media platform. The band is set to hit stages in 21 different cities across North America.

The tour will include rapper Earl Sweatshirt, rapper Noname, and Canadian singer Mac DeMarco along with bass guitarist Thundercat and more. This tour comes as a follow up to .Paak's recently released fourth studio album, Ventura (Released April, 2019). Reverting to his funk rap -rhythm and soul style, the album includes hit songs such as "King James" and "Make It Better" featuring the legendary Smokey Robinson.

The Grammy Award winning artist came to the scene in 2012 and released his first studio recording, Venice, in 2014. He then went on to create hit songs with Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, J.Cole and several major players in the music game. More than a triple threat, .Paak is a singer, songwriter, rapper instrumentalist and a producer. Raised in California, .Paak proved himself as a force to be reckoned with after being named as one of the XXL Freshmen in 2016, which is a Hip-Hop honor.

After a transitional period, .Paak released the critically acclaimed album, Oxnard, with hit singles like "Tints" and "Bubblin' the song that brought him his 2019 Grammy win.

Heading to NOLA on June 8th, the dynamic performers, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals, are set to rock the Champion Square stage. The show will begin at 7:30pm and is standing room only including general admission and VIP.
