Crescent City Classic (CCC) will host its second-annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Christmas in Lafreniere Park Run/Walk on Saturday, December 11 at 3 p.m., marking its first in-person event of 2021 in Jefferson Parish. People and families of all ages are invited to participate in this two-mile event while donned in holiday costumes.

"The Christmas in Lafreniere Park Run/Walk is the perfect holiday family outing," CCC Race Director Eric Stuart said. "You get to do your workout with the race and then take in some holiday cheer with access to Lafreniere Park's light tour all for a great value."

Participants will race (or stroll) through a wonderland of cheerful displays, twinkling lights, and lavish decorations spread throughout the park. Festive activities such as face-painting, pictures with Santa, and hot chocolate will be available before and after the race. In addition, participants will get a free driving tour of Lafreniere Park's Holiday Lights Display and the upcoming Pavilion Island after the race.

Registration will take place online and in person. General admission is $30 until midnight on Saturday, December 4 and $35 from Sunday, December 5 until the day of the race. Kids 3-10, military members, and veterans will receive a $5 discount off entry. All participants will receive a free, long-sleeved race shirt, a race bib, and early access into Lafreniere Park's light tour.
