Born and raised in the South, Yelawolf has grown to be a rapper in his own lane. He’s certainly no stranger to the southern hip-hop scene, but that’s not what caught his mentor’s (Eminem’s) attention. Instead, it’s his thrilling conceptual work and unorthodox use of country, rock and hardcore styles. This year, he dropped his second album, Love Story, which has become his most critically and commercially successful work yet. The album even hit the top five of the Billboard 200.
