WWOZ Brass Passes have always allowed those die-hard Jazz Fest fans to enjoy the festival they love, with a few added perks at a bargain price. So when Jazz Fest coordinators announced that the festival would include an extra day, pass holders were obviously excited. The official Jazz and Heritage Festival dates are now April 25-28 and May 2-5. However, much to the dismay of Brass Pass holders, it was announced that the passes would not be effective on May 2nd and that day would require an extra ticket. Speculation has begun as to why the tickets would not work. With much of that speculation floating around the idea that the Rolling Stones could be stopping by Jazz Fest on May 2nd. Regardless of what the actual reason is, Brass Pass holders will need to purchase that extra ticket in order to experience the full festival.
