The New Orleans Snoball Finder mobile app powered by Peter Mayer was launched as a gift to the people of New Orleans and a tribute to the agency's late founder, “Pete,” for Peter Mayer's 50th anniversary. The app features more than 45 local snoball stands and 250 flavors in Greater New Orleans and the surrounding area with a handy map function to quickly locate the nearest stands, and view their full menus and hours. It is available for free download on iOS and Android.

"We wanted to use our technical and marketing expertise to provide a gift to the people of New Orleans who have given us so much over the past 50 years,” said Josh Mayer, Chief Creative Officer at Peter Mayer. “It's what my father Pete would have wanted. He loved snoballs! His favorite flavor was Nectar Cream.”

The “find a flavor” function makes it easy to find the flavor users are craving nearest them, or filter by categories like clear and sugar-free. In addition, users can sort stands by whether they are open in real time, and see other offerings they may have, like snacks. Users can even save their favorite stands in the app to easily access them anytime, and any new stands not already in the app can be submitted for inclusion. A brief snoball history is included in the app as well.

Peter Mayer will be recognizing its 50th anniversary all year. The company kicked off the celebratory year with an employee soiree. The launch of the New Orleans Snoball Finder app and the company’s partnership with Ochsner to build a Habitat for Humanity house highlight Peter Mayer’s commitment to the community. In September, the company will honor its history and look to the future with a 50th anniversary weekend where current and former employees will come together for an open house, community service activity and cocktail party.

The snoball is the quintessential New Orleans treat – dessert, snack, parental bribe, weekend ritual and the perfect antidote to heat and humidity. Found in every neighborhood in New Orleans, snoball stands open when the weather gets warm and demand spikes. No two snoball stands offer the same flavors, and therein lies the joy of snoball research, sampling new flavors from new stands.

Featured snoball stands include Hansen's Sno-Bliz, Pandora's, Imperial Woodpecker Sno-Balls, Plum Street, Lou Lou's Snoballs & Ice Cream, Broad St. Snoballs and more. Download the app for free on iOS here and on Android here. Check out the New Orleans Snoball Finder on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or visit peteramayer.com/snoballs to learn more.
