The found footage troupe Everything Is Terrible! definitely got me in the holiday spirit with their entertaining holiday show at Siberia this past Sunday. You can just see some of that entertainment from the picture above. This week there are plenty more holiday-themed parties for you to enjoy.
PJ’s Coffee is holding the grand opening of their new location on Canal Street on Wednesday beginning at 10 am until 1 pm. There will be lots of samples and giveaways for all who attend.
There are not one, not two, but three titillating burlesque shows coming up to make you’re your holidays are full of visions of scantily clad woman dancing in your head. Thursday is Big Deal Burlesque at Siberia at 9 pm for $10, Friday is the new rockabilly-themed troupe the Whiskey Rockettes at Chickie Wah Wah with live music performed by Gal Holiday & The Honky Tonk Revue beginning at 11 pm, and Bella Blue’s Burlesque-ivus for the Rest of Us burlesque for the service industry is on Monday at Allways Lounge at 10 pm for $10.
Also on Thursday evening, Strange Roux and Gravy Flavored Kisses play a delicious sounding show at d.b.a. at 10 pm.

Haley Blvd beginning at 10 am and going until 3 pm. The market is free to attend, so you can save your money for the delicious food by Café Reconcile. Sludge progenitors Crowbar perform at Tipitina’s with White Light Cemetery and Delta Doom later that night at 8 pm for $15. Mojo’s Bar at 2916 Cleary Avenue in Metairie will host the afterparty.
Oak Wine Bar’s Holiday Wine Tasting to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has been moved to Tuesday, so if you couldn’t make it last week, you certainly can this week.
