Till Monday, April 28th, the Hotel Monteleone will feature a photo exhibit from the Alabama Tourism Department featuring "100 Dishes To Eat in Alabama Before You Die." Thirty-six photographs are already enticing visitors to the hotel, an array of delectable, drool-worthy images featuring Alabama's most memorable and iconic dishes, designed to encourage travelers (especially neighbors from the Southern states) to visit and partake of their bounty.
The exhibition features photographs taken by professional food photographer Becky Luigart-Stayner who last shot for Cooking Light Magazine. Stop by the Hotel Monteleone before the exhibit moves on and feast your eyes on dishes like a BBQ Pork-Stuffed Tater, Strawberry-Almond Belgian Waffles and Roasted Red Pepper Soup.
"With a large pool of culinary talent and innovative restaurants, it's an exciting time for Alabama food," says Alabama Tourism Department director Lee Sentell. "We want to share a taste of that with our neighbors in the South and invite them to take a road trip to Alabama where they can experience our unique food culture for themselves."
