Uber Partnering with Arizona State University To Provide College Degree Opportunities

Uber is partnering with Arizona State University to provide fully funded college degree opportunities to their drivers as part of a new rewards program called Uber Pro. The new program will be available to Uber drivers in eight pilot areas. Drivers may use the opportunity themselves or pass it along to a family member. Eligible drivers must have completed at least 3,000 rides and have platinum or diamond status on the new Uber Pro. Drivers will have access to 80 undergraduate degree programs offered by ASU online, or they may take classes through the Global Freshman Academy and work their way up to college courses, or they can take a non-degree course in English as a second language or entrepreneurship. Uber hopes to expand the program nationwide after a successful pilot run.
