Known all over the world for its smooth and gentle complexity, Tullamore D.E.W. is named after Daniel E. Williams, a self-made stable boy turned owner of the distillery. Tullamore D.E.W. distillery opened its doors in 1829 in Tullamore. Williams' grandson inherited the franchise and followed in his family's innovative footsteps by further remodeling the whiskey industry and founding Ireland's first blended whiskey. Sixty years later, Tullamore D.E.W. continues production in Tullamore, Co Offaly, in a new state-of-the-art distillery. Their whiskey is sure to live on in the hearts of the Irish forever.
