“What do we do for fun? We party. But we don’t just get drunk. We party with a purpose,” said a Tulane student who had recently been informed that the school was ranked number one on The Princeton Review’s annual "party school" rankings. With their unofficial “work hard, play hard” motto, this award is more than appropriate.

Tulane attributes part of their glory to the infamous campus bar, “The Boot,” which earned the title as “best college bar” by USA Today.

“From Tuesday to Saturday, there’s no shortage of places to grab a drink or get rowdy,” said James McClendon, a Tulane junior and English major. “Sundays and Mondays, that’s when you recuperate. Everybody’s got to have a break. Even at the best party school in the country,” he boasted this Tuesday, with a beer in hand and a smile on his face.

It’s not all partying at Tulane, though. They also hold the title as the school most “engaged in community service.” This is thanks to their extensive service learning program.

So if you’re looking for a school where you study at dawn and drink at dusk, Tulane University might just be the place for you.
