Local consulting firm, trepwise, is partnering with Eiffel Society (an upscale club and venue) to co-host “trepwork for good,” a philanthropic event series. The events will highlight eight local nonprofits with four Pay it Forward Happy Hour events each month from August to November. The goal is to increase awareness and fundraising opportunities for all of the participating organizations.
The happy hours will take place at Eiffel Society once a month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will showcase two nonprofits at each event. Happy hour specials will be available with everything from $3 beer to $6 cocktails, and 10% of bar proceeds will go to each organization, both of which will be collecting suggested donations at the door. Each organization will have the chance to address the crowd and, if so desired, use their own fundraising techniques as well. Also, all “trepwork for good” events are family-friendly, so feel free to bring the little ones.
The first event will be on Tuesday, August 21st and will have a “Back to School” theme, showcasing two nonprofits with a focus on education, Brothers Empowered to Teach and STEM NOLA. Special to this event is “The Bruh,” a rum-based specialty cocktail for only $7. While the event is free and open to the public, guests are encouraged to register here.
September’s theme is “Community Sustainability” and will be supporting the Urban Conservancy and Friends of Lafitte Greenway on Wednesday, September 19th.
The October and November dates have not been announced yet but the themes are “Arts and Culture” and “Feed it Forward” and they will be supporting local art nonprofits and local food banks, respectively.
