A 60-year-old Italian woman recently called in the fire department to free her from her chastity belt after misplacing the key.
It seems she may have been somewhat aware of the strangeness of her request, as she initially told them she needed help to open a padlock. They assumed this padlock guarded a door in her home, but it turned out to guard her chastity.
When they arrived, she lifted up her sweater to reveal the iron contraption locked around her waist. According to Inside Edition, the firefighters were able to break open the lock and proceeded to question if the woman was a victim of domestic violence or being forced to wear the belt.
Fortunately, no force or abuse were involved. She secured this iron garment all on her own in an attempt to protect herself from the sexual violence she saw on the news and to intentionally prevent the possibility of a sexual relationship.
The key has yet to be found.
