Tim & Eric - Tim & Eric

As part of their Swamp Rock Tour, Tim and Eric's Pusswhip Banggang stopped by The Howlin' Wolf to get a little bit crazy. Friends since their college days at Temple University, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim's comedy duo was quickly hilarious and bafflingly engaging.

Running out onstage in feather masks and howling like voodoo priestess, Tim and Eric immediately injected the audience with energy. The characters, as they truly were, quickly began a nearly hour and a half of play, toying with the crowd the whole time.

Along with a drummer and a Jack Black look-alike base player, Tim and Eric sang about nearly everything. A virtual mad lib—as if the guys' late night antics had taken form into organized chaos that brought about songs, dances, and ridiculousness. At one point a dream catcher was gently drifted into the crowd from on stage and safely returned. So amidst the saxophone bong and jambalaya recipe song there was some true musical equilibrium.

Tim and Eric's Pusswhip Banggang tour (http://www.timanderic.com/) is in part to promote their new 12 inch record now out from Drag City Records. It also works in tandem with their videos and work for Adult Swim, which includes a show entitled, Check It Out! With Steve Brule, hosted by John C. Reilly.
