Victor and Elsie Bower, teenage sweethearts from Sheffield, married in 1954. The two loved each other so much that they would cry a lot if they ever had to spend time apart, according to their daughter, Sharon Bower, 54. After spending 65 years of their lives together Victor died at 82 of cancer, and only nine months later Elsie, 80, died from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, however her family said she died of a "broken heart." What makes this couple so special is that they were the first to be buried together, in a double-sized coffin, still holding hands. This marks the first time a double coffin had been used in South Yorkshire.
