ThriftCon 2026
ThriftCon descended upon the convention center with a slew of cool t-shirts that hungry vintage collectors combed through hoping to find those rare graphic tees. Racks and racks of increasingly popular screen printed t-shirts from the '70s, '80s, '90s, and '00s vied for attention among the old toys, jewelry, records, cassettes, and DVDs. Tide detergent had a popular activation where one could grab as many shirts as they wanted to and pay by weight of the final collection.
It was easy to get lost looking at every shirt: band logos, NASCAR, lots of Harley Davidson, and sports figures. Local legendary rapper Mannie Fresh provided live entertainment while the savvy shoppers perused old stuff and revamped old stuff. The clothing made from old quilts was a sight to see. Vintage stuff is all the rage now.
Louisiana Vintage Festival will be taking place at House of Blues in August.
