This Packed Funeral
Alternative Tentacles Records
The first time I listened to this album, I was a little nervous, as there was a baby nearby who was already fussy. However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the crying stopped and the giggles began as soon as This Packed Funeral, the latest album by The World/Inferno Friendship Society. If a newborn likes it, I’d call it a winner. While the sound might be an acquired taste for some, if you’re a fan of punk rock, then this is easily your new favorite album and band. “Don’t Get Me Started,” is a fun song accompanied by some great brass notes, letting the band’s jazz sound shine. Lead singers Jack Terricloth and Sandra Malak belt out political phrases on top of trumpets and saxophones, and interesting mix of music that you might just end up putting on repeat. The band hails from New York and understands its audience appeal. With over 12,000 fans on Facebook, this group is clearly a favorite both on and off stage.
