What is the NOLA Downtown Music and Arts Festival? According to their website, it is “a showcase performance opportunity event featuring artists selected because they personify what the music and entertainment industry values: stage presence, songwriting, and musicianship.” The Music Business Institute organizes this event every year with the goal of enhancing music opportunities for locals through content and business networking. The event will take place Downtown throughout the CBD district.

On August 23 thru 26, Cutting Edge Events is presenting the NOLA Downtown Music and Arts Festival. The festival will be filled with many exciting activities, music, and food. Participating vendors include Central City BBQ, Peaches Record Store, House of Blues, Little Gem Saloon, Prime Example, Sidney’s Saloon, Bamboula’s, and the InterContinental Hotel, among many others. You can expect performances by Little Freddie King, Henry Turner Jr., The GrayHawk Band, Kenny Neal, and more. Pop-up shops will also be available along Fulton Street and Diamond Street. Fulton Alley will be a participant in the festival, so while you eat, shop, and listen to music, you can also stop in for a game of bowling.
