There will never be another entertainer like Chris Owens. The dynamic dancer thrilled audiences for several decades and was an icon of New Orleans. One of her greatest works was the annual Easter Parade that traveled through the French Quarter with Chris herself as the centerpiece. Since her passing earlier this year, Chris' image has sprung up around town, proving her legacy will live on.
Chris Owens and her famous Easter Parade are the focal points of an eye-popping art series created by photographers Hunter and Desiree Ryland. The Chris Owens 2022 Easter Parade series was on view at The Rylands Photo Co. Studio on Magazine Street where many of Chris' closest friends gathered to honor her.
