It’s okay! They’re not really dead; they’re just big fans of zombies and like to party in tattered and bloodied clothing. But we’ll get to that after we talk about the great stuff happening before that event on Saturday.

On this Tuesday night, the popular, genre-bending, believer-making, rock/psych/metal band Kylesa performs at One Eyed Jacks with Blood Ceremony, White Hills, and Lazer/Wulffor at 9 p.m. for $15.

And on Wednesday night, our local black metal band Goatwhore returns from their long North American tour and plays with 3” of Blood with Withered at Hangar 13 for $10 at 10 p.m. Thursday is the monthly free movie showing Green Screen at the Green Project on Marais Street at 6:30 p.m. This month, they will be showing the film Trashed about America’s burgeoning trash industry and it repercussions. As always, the showing is free, open to the public, and there will be snacks.

One fest that locals have been waiting for all year has arrived: Bayou Boogaloo! This fest goes on from Friday to Sunday along the Bayou St. John in Midcity near Orleans Avenue and will have lots of great music, vendors, food, and all the rest. There will even be free family yoga on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Rock band ANTiSEEN is celebrating thirty years of grinding chaos and musical adventure with Hellstomper, Before I Hang, and The Pallbearers at Siberia at 10 p.m. for $12. Just across the street, Bella Blue’s Dirty Dime Peepshow takes it all off at Allways Lounge for $15 at midnight. This show will have Vinsantos performing a new act, Bunny Love, who just made the move here from New York, and many more. There will also be an erotic bake sale to feed your physical needs.

The 3rd Annual Springtime Zombie Pub Crawl organized by the NOLA Zombie Walk will slowly lumber and moan its way down Magazine Street on Saturday. The crawl will begin at Tracey’s on 2604 Magazine Street at 6 p.m. and end at Ms. Mae’s with plenty of stops along the way. Everyone is invited to join in at no charge, but please be bloody.

Do you miss Davey Jones of The Monkees since his death in recent years? Well, you can honor his memory with the Monkees tribute band The Missing Links on Sunday night at Siberia. Along for your viewing pleasure is the Rev. Spooky LeStrange and her Billion Dollar Babydolls.
