The Black Penny Opens in French Quarter

The Black Penny, a new French Quarter bar, recently opened on N. Rampart Street. Recently renovated by project partners Bert West, former manager of Erin Rose, and Bar Tonique owner Ed Diaz, The Black Penny has a casual vibe, with exposed beams and brick, dark wood trim, reclaimed wood, and only the bar left in tact from the much different former home of The Ninth Circle. The bar focuses on simple cocktails and beers, and is working to reach 50 craft beers within the next few weeks.
