Senator Ted Cruz officially announced he would be running for president in the 2016 presidential race. Sen. Cruz stated in his speech that he believed in “re-igniting the promise of America.” His announcement was publically declared on Monday at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The presidential candidate has already announced his stance on multiple issues, such as his goal to secure the borders, abolish the IRS, stand by Israel, oppose same-sex marriage, and repeal Obamacare. Ted Cruz is the first Republican or Democrat to announce his presidency.
