Although my trolley car ride was canceled, I had an amazing, unexpectedly great time elsewhere. First, I ventured over to the Cafe Apertif for Martini and Rossi and St. Germain cocktails. It was a little too loud in there for me so I decided to spend some time at Hotel Monteleone's famous Carousel Bar and make some new friends before dinner. I got to attend the Disaronno dinner at Hotel Mazarin where there was a small, elegant wedding being held.
The cocktail hour pre-dinner was held at the racous Amendment 21 Bar on Iberville Street. The waitstaff passed around some delish Italian appetizers like Bruscetta. Then dinner was served including a cold soup, pasta jambalaya, and duck confit. We stopped briefly at Cellardoor before heading to the incredible Barcardi Block Party at the Sugar Mill. Along with a plethora of tasty drinks of every sort, the Sugar Mill was made to look like a neighborhood complete with a back seat confessional booth in a classic American car.
