free online benefit supporting musical artists. The livestream music event will
take place on Saturday, November 14, at 8 p.m. CST and will feature live performances
from legendary musical artists throughout New Orleans and beyond. The Save
Tip's benefit will be available to stream through tipitinas.com
for all to support, donate, and watch live music artists, while aiding the
iconic music venue Tipitina's during the ongoing pandemic.
Tipitina's Save Tip's event will feature over 35 musical artists, including
Willie Nelson, Big Freedia, Kermit Ruffins, Rebirth Brass Band, and Galactic.
The virtual livestream will include over three hours of exclusive live
performances, as well as backstage content and interviews for viewers to enjoy.
The event will also celebrate New Orleans musicians with musical tributes to
Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, and Art Neville. Donations made to Tipitina's offer chances
to participate in their fundraising sweepstakes, including amazing prizes such
as VIP access to the first return show Top Banana, lifetime access to
the venue, a signed trombone from Trombone Shorty, and other exciting rewards
for winning participants. Entries into the sweepstakes and donations to the Tipitina's
venue can be made at tipitinas.com/save-tips
and fandiem.com,
or by texting "SAVETIPS" to 24365.
Tipitina's has hosted renowned acts and musical guests for over 40 years, establishing
itself as a New Orleans staple for vibrant, lively experiences of our city's
culture and music. According to tipitinas.com, Tipitina's owner and
Galactic band member Robert Mercurio expressed that the purchase of Tipitina's
was to save his favorite venue and to celebrate the national treasure New
Orleans-style with a party honoring the musical landmark. Viewers can join in
on the virtual fun and support the venue and local artists by watching and
donating to this Tipitina's benefit celebration.
