A New Orleans-style parade during Carnival season excited fans the morning before Super Bowl LIX.
The parade rolled at 10 a.m. from the edge of the French Quarter through the historic neighborhood district before heading up Poydras Street, turning along St. Charles Avenue to conclude at Tivoli Circle.
Opposing fans of the Super Bowl rivals Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles unified to celebrate the Big Game the following day, along with local Saints fans refusing to forgo their black and gold garb.
Beyond exciting football fans, the parade also energized Mardi Gras revelers as an early Carnival parade in advance of the many processions the city will stage over several weeks through March 4.
