Sun Country Airlines is launching a new seasonal nonstop flight from New Orleans to Providence, Rhode Island.
The flight, originating in Providence’s T.F. Green Airport, will run three times a week with roundtrip flights on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Prices will start at $89 one way.
Sun Country Airlines, started in 1982, is a budget airline with seasonal flights to over 50 destinations around the U.S., Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. The company expanded past its home base in Minneapolis-St. Paul last year to add service to several U.S. cities, including New Orleans. Now offering flights from New Orleans to Fort Myers, Florida, Las Vegas, and Minneapolis-St. Paul, Sun Country will begin to fly to Providence on September 6, 2019.
Flights will start after the opening of the new $1 billion Louis Armstrong Airport terminal that is replacing the city’s current airport.
