After heavy criticism on social media, the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival have announced that they will not be selling their controversial poster at the Festival, taking place April 10th-12th. Following increasing outrage and discontent at the depiction of the two children on the poster, the Festival initially announced that they would not be altering the poster, created by local artist Kalle Siekkinen. On March 25th, as criticism increased, they announced the poster would not be for sale at the festival, and issued a sincere apology to anyone who took offense at the racial aspects of the poster.
