Stonewall Sports in coming to New Orleans this fall! The organization will be providing an LGBTQ & Ally kickball league in the city, which is only one out of the twelve that Stonewall Sports has inhabited since its inception in 2010.
The kickball league will run for 7 weeks from September 11 through October 23, with registration opening August 8th for those interested in getting involved. Leading up to the games, there will be socials and meet ups for those involved to build the community - as the organization’s mission intends for its participants to do. Once the games begin, the color-coded teams of 12-15 will play on Sunday afternoons in City Park.
According to Stonewall Sports official website, there are many more sports leagues offered, including billiards, bowling, volleyball, and darts. Proceeds received by the organization from their sports players is donated to a variety of charities in order to give back to the community they are located within.
