Spongebob Squarepants is now moving his pineapple under the sea to the center of Broadway’s stage. Entertainment Weekly reports the famed Nickelodeon cartoon will be hitting Chicago's Broadway stage in summer 2016. Director of the musical, Tina Landau is responsible for bringing the Bikini Bottom crew above water and will introduce them to some of her famed musician friends.
John Legend, Flaming Lips, Panic! At the Disco and others will contribute to the new sounds of the Bikini Bottom blues.
