The Downtown New Orleans Canal Place is shaking things up and welcoming a burger chain that will have the verification needed to also serve alcohol.
Shake Shack announced last year that it would be making its debut in the Louis Armstrong International Airport and also planned to open a restaurant on Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. Recently, the chain announced their move into New Orleans’ luxury shopping center, along with the plan to serve alcohol rather than exclusively fast food.
Danny Meyer, the Shake Shack restaurateur, revealed the plan for the three new Louisiana locations as part of a 40-plus restaurant expansion. The chain also said that within 2019, they will be completely ditching plastic straws.
