At least 50 jobs are currently available at the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board, and officials are hoping to fill them during a job fair next week.

The job fair will be hosted by S&WB officials at Xavier University’s Convocation Center Annex Building on Friday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m..

Sewerage and Water Board Executive Director Jade Brown-Russell released a statement saying,"This agency’s greatest asset is our team, and in order to work at our full capacity, we need hardworking individuals to answer the call to serve their city. The folks who work here, at every level, are integral in ensuring we fulfill our mission to provide safe, clean water to everyone in New Orleans, remove wastewater for safe return to the environment, and drain away stormwater."

“The goal is to make the hires in an expedited process, as part of phase one to fill available positions at S&WB,” said Water Board officials.

Individuals who are interested in the available positions can go online to review them and apply ahead of the job fair. Applicants who apply early will receive calls before the fair.
