Spooky Special Menu
Bar Marilou, the French-style inspired bar on 544 Carondelet Street in the Central Business District, is giving customers the chance to try out their Spooky Specials this Halloween season from Oct. 28-31. Their special menu includes signature cocktails such as The Poison Apple, which features brown butter calvados with a salted caramel cotton candy "web", and The Unreliable Narrator, which is served with a candy skull and composed of Spanish vermouth and amontillado sherry.
In addition to their creative seasonal menu, Bar Marilou will host The Witching Hour on Monday, Oct. 31 from 4 p.m to 12 a.m. Bar Marilou encourages patrons to wear festive costumes, and reservations are recommended. This Halloween night event will feature DJ Delores Galore, who has previously performed at various venues and will be performing at Bar Marilou from 7-11 p.m. During the event, the kitchen will be serving frogs' legs and a Baked Casper dish, which is similar to Baked Alaska but includes more seasonal toppings and is served atop a mochi waffle.
