A reboot of the 1984 film The Terminator is underway. Linda Hamilton, who plays Sarah Connor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Terminator, will both return to their starring roles.
James Cameron, director and writer of the first two films in the franchise, also has returned as producer. Tim Miller (Deadpool) is set to direct the film. The two were joined by David Goyer (The Dark Knight), Charles Eglee (Dark Angel), and Josh Friedman (The Sarah Connor Chronicles) in the writing room.
This reboot is seen as a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Cameron commented on the film, “we still fold time. We will have characters from the future and the present. There will be mostly new characters but we’ll have Arnold and Linda to anchor it.”
