This holiday season, the renowned Sazerac House on 101 Magazine Street is hosting a slew of themed events to get everyone into the holiday season. With special events ranging from Thanksgiving to New Years, there is something for everyone at Sazerac House.

Cocktail experts Matt Ray and Amanda Thomas will work alongside Big Easy Award-winning actors Lisa Picone Love and Bob Edes, and local celebrities such as Windowsill Pies and Drink & Learn's Elizabeth Pearce to bring a wide array of holiday themed cocktails and programs to the city of New Orleans. Attendees can look forward to nights featuring the perfect cocktail pairings and fun, interactive experiences.

Come to Sazerac House this holiday season to learn how to find the perfect cocktail pairings for any future festive events you may host. Learn why chocolate and rum has endured as a traditional holiday pairing, why bourbon cocktails go perfectly with delicious desserts, or brush up on the Creole history and cocktail recipes that honor the heritage of New Orleans.

  • Cocoa & Cocktails: Rum (November 29)
    • From cocoa bean to oak barrel, guests will learn why chocolate and rum is a pairing steeped in craft and tradition featuring Piety & Desire Chocolate. Hosted by Sazerac House cocktail experts and Piety & Desire Chocolates. $35 per person.
  • Strike Down Social: A Celebration of Repeal Day (December 5)
    • Join the Sazerac House to celebrate the strike down of Prohibition with a spirited musical presentation. Big Easy winners Ricky Graham, Lisa Picone Love and drinks historian Elizabeth Pearce present Dry: A Prohibition Cabaret. Join the trio on their journey through America's "Noble Experiment" told in a way never heard before: in song! Discover the lore and legend of boozy personalities and Prohibition-era cocktails while learning how New Orleans remained the "wettest city in America." Speakeasy surprises await as guests toast to Repeal Day and the continuation of cocktail culture! $75 per person.
  • Sips & Slices: Cocktail and Pie Pairing with Windowsill Pies (December 6)
    • What is the holiday season without decadent desserts and boozy beverages? Guests will explore the history and craft of desserts and bourbon cocktails and toast holiday gatherings with perfect pairings. Hosted by Sazerac House Cocktail Experts and Windowsill Pies. $30 per person.
  • Sip & Shop (December 13)
    • The perfect holiday shopping experience, complete with music, light bites and delicious cocktails. Guests can hand select spirits and accessories for the cocktail enthusiast in their lives and get advice on entertaining from by Sazerac House cocktail experts Matt Ray and Amanda Thomas, and meet Isabel Clark, the owner of Bar 2 Go.   • Drink & Learn: Creole Holiday Traditions (December 13)
    • Drinks historian Elizabeth Pearce will recount tales of Creole history and cocktail recipes that pay homage to New Orleans holiday delights. $50 per person.
  • Cocoa & Cocktails: Holiday Gatherings (December 15)
    • Cocktails and Chocolate are the perfect pairing for the Holiday season, featuring delicious treats from Piety & Desire Chocolates paired with cocktails from the Sazerac House cocktail experts. $35 per person.
  • Crafting & Cocktails: Cheers Headdresses (December 20)
  • During the holiday season, New Orleanians don their finest accessories to hit the town for parties, lunches and gatherings. This event gives guests an opportunity to make their accessory preparation part of the festivities. All supplies and materials will be available on-site, alongside cocktails prepared by the cocktail experts at the Sazerac House. $50 per person.
