I hope that you had all of your horror needs met at Mad Monster Party Gras this past weekend! I know that I had fun hanging out with the Crypt Keeper and Leatherface. The horror doesn’t stop this weekend as runners will go through a gauntlet of the undead, and there is normal musical entertainment for those not willing to risk losing a limb.

Clockwork Elvis performs at one of their favorite venues, Bayou Beer Garden at 9 p.m. for free on Friday night. But you shouldn’t stay out too late; you have a very hectic Saturday coming up.

The first on the menu for this busy day is…you! NOLA Zombi’s Z-Day 5K and Festival begins early at 8 a.m. at Laketown Park in Kenner (at the end of Williams Blvd.) with a grueling obstacle course full of man-eaters. The ensuing fest for survivors, and everyone else interested, includes live music by Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes, Hot 8 Brass Band, and Little Freddie King. The fest begins at 9 a.m. and you can learn more about the race here. If you can still walk, you may want to meet the Saints’ coach and wish him luck for Sunday at Aucoin Hart Jewelers on Metairie Road beginning at 1 p.m. Payton will be raffling off  a ladies’ Rolex at 3 p.m. worth over $15,000 for $20 a ticket. The proceeds go to Sean Payton’s “Play It Forward” Foundation. If you’re more interested in a musical show, Deacon John is performing for Sites and Sounds at The Mint on Esplanade at 2 p.m. Make time for the Pagan Pride Day at the New Orleans Healing Center on St. Claude Ave. From 10:30-6 p.m., you can learn about pagan practices like astrology and tai chi, listen to live music, watch belly dancing, and much more. You can watch somebody else move their body and rest yours at the Masterpole Theater at Allways Lounge. Beginning at

The game is on Sunday at noon; the Saints take on Arizona. Celebrate what is sure to be yet another victory with NOLA County at Banks St. Bar right after the game at 4 p.m. for free. Sick Puppies, Redlight Kings, and Charming Liars perform at the House of Blues later at 7:30 p.m. And you can still probably catch Murder by Death at One Eyed Jacks at 10 p.m.

Get ready for next weekend on Thursday night with Cirque d’Licious at Hi Ho Lounge for $10. Starting at 10 p.m., Dahktur Sick will take you through Ginger Licious’ variety show featuring Bella Blue, Ooops the Clown, Pierre Le Gent and many more.
