Singer-songwriter Ryan Adams will be headlining an event dubbed Exile On Bourbon St. that will honor The Rolling Stones’ famed Exile On Main St. album. Exile On Bourbon St. will take place at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans on Saturday, May 5.

Adams will be joined by musical director Don Was and “an all-star group of musicians” that will be announced soon to perform Exile On Main St. in its entirety. Was has produced seven Rolling Stones albums including the legendary act’s most recent effort Blue & Lonesome. In 2010, Was produced and re-mixed a re-released version of Exile On Main St..

The concert is being organized by Blackbird Presents, a company that has put on a number of similar events at The Saenger Theatre during the second weekend of Jazz Fest in the past. Previous shows have included New Orleans Is Waiting For Columbus, The Last Waltz New Orleans: A Celebration Of The 40th Anniversary Of The Last Waltz and Nevilles Forever. “Ryan Adams, Don Was, and the best musicians in New Orleans playing these songs at Jazz Fest is exactly what our country needs right now. This music means so much to so many people. I am counting down the days until May 5,” said Keith Wortman, CEO of Blackbird Presents.

Exile On Bourbon St. tickets go on sale Monday, April 2 at 10 a.m. CT.
