The Last Lap in NOLA
Rapper and singer-songwriter Rod Wave made a stop on his "Last Lap" Tour in New Orleans to perform at the Smoothie King Center on December 13, 2024.
A pioneer of the trap soul genre, Wave has amassed much acclaim and popularity since his 2019 single "Heart on Ice," from his PTSD mixtape and later debut studio album Ghetto Gospel, went viral on TikTok. He has since released five other chart topping studio albums—the latest being 2024's Last Lap—and many successful singles, including multi-platinum songs "Rags2Riches," "Letter from Houston," "Great Gatsby," and "Tombstone."
Wave was also joined that night by Moneybagg Yo, Toosii, Lil Poppa, Dess Dior, and Eelmatic.
