RetroElectro
(self-titled) EP
Independent

While this city is known for it’s major contributions to jazz, funk and brass music, little is known about the underground rock scene that continues to thrive.  At the forefront of this is RetroElectro, who recently independently released their innaugural self-titled EP.  A mix of previously released tracks and new songs, the album exemplifies the band’s skilled musicality, as tracks like "Dreaming of the Moon" set the stage for emphatic drum fills and epic guitar solos.  With a classic progressive rock sound, RetroElectro’s sound cannot be defined by time – the album progresses from '60s-sounding psychedelic rock to a sound more reminiscent of a late-'80s Tom Petty-style ballad rock.  With frequent live performances across the city, RetroElectro are sure to impress those looking for local energetic rock, both recorded and in person.
