British singer-songwriter RAYE formally welcomed New Orleans to her "My 21st Century Blues" tour last night at Joy Theater. Her word of the night was "honesty". The multi-platinum vocalist serenaded her audience with just that. From her opening numbers "Oscar Winning Tears" and "The Thrill Is Gone" to her track "Ice Cream Man", RAYE revealed a personal traumatic experience with her audience. In between singing bittersweet ballads, she captured the emotions of the room through storytelling by gracing us with soulful hits and realness, keeping the crowd excited for more "honesty".
